In
1997, I participated in the 150th anniversary Mormon Trail Wagon
Train which reenacted the journey of the Mormon pioneers from
Nauvoo, Illinois, to Salt Lake City, Utah. I traveled from Martin's
Cove, to Jeffrey City, Wyoming, in a covered wagon.
In
August 2001, I participated in SeaTrek2001 which was a reenactment
of the emigration of the thousands of European converts to the
Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-day Saints who crossed the Atlantic
to join the saints in Utah. Forty-nine of my ancestors from Norway,
Denmark, Scotland, and England made this crossing. I traveled
by tall ship from Hamburg, Germany, to Hull, England.
In
2003, I earned the Eagle Scout award.
