My name is Jason. My favorite sports are Lacrosse and Skiing.

I have climbed 7 of Colorado's Fourteeners so far: Blanca Peak (July 7, 2000, fourth tallest mountain in Colorado14,345' located in the Sangre de Cristo range near Alamosa), Mount Bierstadt (July 15, 2000, 14,060' located in the Mount Evans Wilderness near Guanella Pass), Humboldt Peak (July 20, 2001, 14,064' located in the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness near Westcliffe), Gray's Peak (August 30, 2004), Mt. Elbert (September 6, 2004, tallest mountain in Colorado, 14,433'--almost 4400m!), La Plata Peak (June 19, 2006), and Quandry Peak (June 14, 2007). Click here to learn more about Colorado's 14ers

In 1997, I participated in the 150th anniversary Mormon Trail Wagon Train which reenacted the journey of the Mormon pioneers from Nauvoo, Illinois, to Salt Lake City, Utah. I traveled from Martin's Cove, to Jeffrey City, Wyoming, in a covered wagon.

In August 2001, I participated in SeaTrek2001 which was a reenactment of the emigration of the 85,000 European converts to the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-day Saints who crossed the Atlantic to join the saints in Utah. Forty-nine of my ancestors made this crossing. I traveled by tall ship from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Gothenberg, Sweden, and then on to Oslo, Norway.

In 2006, I served as a volunteer for Latter-day Saint Humanitarian Services in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Click here to learn more about LDS Humanitarian Services major initiatives. Click here to donate to LDS Humanitarian Services.

In 2007 & 2008, I participated in the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, NY, which tells the story of the Book of Mormon. In 2007 I portrayed a Nephite battleman, and in 2008 I portrayed the Prophet Joseph Smith. Click here to learn more about this pageant.

In 2007, I earned my Eagle Scout Award.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was baptized on my eighth birthday in the Sweetwater River at Martin's Cove, Wyoming.
